Our Lady's Wardrobe
Once a month, I select a Catholic picture book that we will read together on Sunday evenings. I read the same book two weeks in a row (repeated reading builds comprehension), and then on the other two Sundays, I let my children pick a book from our previous Sunday read-alouds. This month, our read-aloud is Our Lady's Wardrobe by Anthony DeStefano.
What I love most about this book is how it foreshadows the splendor of Heaven as it paints a picture of Mary's wardrobe in each story of her apparitions. The book concludes with a beautiful invitation for readers to participate in Marian devotions as a way of calling upon our Most Gracious Advocate.
Here are a few simple ways I'm extending our reading this month; I hope you will join us!
