September Favorites

I've mentioned this before, but every month, I put 30-40 picture books on hold at the library (mixed in with early readers + a few chapter books!). We love having a variety of read-alouds for the month.

Every month, I also order one Catholic picture book to add to our Creative Catholic Library (since I usually cannot find these at the library). I make an effort to read these picture books to my children on Sundays.

As it turns out, there are always about 10 books that become our repeat reads for the month. Here are our favorites from September!

1. Apples to Oregon by Deborah Hopkinson

2. Miss Maple's Seeds by Eliza Wheeler

3. Mouse Soup by Arnold Lobel

4. How to Make an Apple Pie and See the World by Marjorie Priceman

5. Sophie's Squash by Pat Zietlow Miller

6. County Fair by Laura Ingalls Wilder

7. Ox-Cart Man by Donald Hall

8. The Gentle Giant Octopus by Karen Wallace

9. Our Lady's Wardrobe by Anthony DeStefano

10. The Apple Doll by Elisa Kleven
