Mary, Mother of All

Once a month, I select a Catholic picture book that we will read together on Sunday evenings. I read the same book two weeks in a row (repeated reading builds comprehension), and then on the other two Sundays, I let my children pick a book from our previous Sunday read-alouds. This month, our read-aloud is Mary, Mother of All by Scott Hahn and Emily Stimpson Chapman.

What I love most about this book is how beautifully it details the theology of Mary in a way that children can understand. The art in the book is equally as engaging! This is the perfect book for October as we celebrate the month of the rosary, which of course, is dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Here are a few simple ways I'm extending our reading this month; I hope you will join us!
